Ordering & Quotes
How do I get a quote?

The fastest way is to upload your design file (DXF, SVG, or DWG) using the Instant Quote tool on the homepage. Select your material, thickness, quantity, and any add-ons — and you'll get a live estimate in seconds.

For more complex jobs (welding, assemblies, or large volumes), use the Contact form and we'll send a custom quote within 1 business day.

Is the instant quote final?

The instant quote is an estimate — typically accurate to ±15–20% of the final price. The final confirmed price is sent after our team reviews your actual file for geometry, complexity, and any special requirements.

We'll never surprise you with a dramatically different number. If something is significantly off, we'll reach out to explain why before charging anything.

What file formats do you accept?

For cutting (laser and waterjet): DXF, SVG, AI, EPS. Files must be 2D flat layouts with closed paths.

For bending: same formats, with bend lines marked on a separate layer.

For welding and assemblies: STEP, IGES, or a clear 2D assembly drawing (PDF or DWG).

Not sure if your file is ready? Send it to us via the contact form and we'll check it for free.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No minimum. We cut one-offs just as happily as we cut 1,000-piece production runs. Pricing does scale with quantity — larger orders get significant per-piece discounts.

Can I order without a design file?

Yes — you can use our Design Studio to draw your part directly in the browser, then send it to the quote flow. For very simple parts, you can also describe what you need in the Contact form and we can help you get started.

Files & Design
How should I set up my DXF file?

All cuts should be on a single layer as closed paths. Remove all duplicate or overlapping lines. Dimensions, notes, and title blocks should be on separate layers or removed entirely — our machines read geometry only.

Minimum hole diameter should equal the material thickness. Minimum bridge between cutouts should be at least 2× the material thickness. See our full File Guidelines page for complete specs.

Do you check my file before cutting?

Yes. Every order goes through a file review before it goes to the machine. We check for open paths, duplicate lines, geometry that's outside our machine capabilities, and features likely to cause issues. We'll contact you if we find a problem — we don't just attempt to cut a bad file.

What's the minimum feature size you can cut?

For laser cutting: minimum feature size is 0.030" (about 0.75mm). Minimum hole diameter should equal the material thickness.

For waterjet cutting: minimum inside radius is 0.030".

These limits vary slightly by material and thickness — thicker materials require slightly larger minimums.

Can I use your Design Studio instead of CAD software?

Absolutely — that's exactly what it's for. Our Design Studio lets you draw rectangles, circles, polygons, lines, paths, holes, and text directly in the browser. You can export your design as DXF, SVG, or PNG, or send it directly to the quote flow with one click.

Do you offer design help?

We can't do full design work for you, but we're happy to review your file and flag issues before cutting. For structural guidance, tolerancing advice, or material selection help, reach out via the Contact form and we'll do our best to point you in the right direction.

Materials & Finishing
What materials do you stock?

We stock Mild Steel (A36), Stainless Steel (304 and 316), Aluminum (6061-T6 and 5052-H32), Cold-Rolled Steel (1008/1010), and Galvanized Steel (G90). See our full Materials Guide for thickness ranges, tolerances, and process compatibility.

Can you cut materials not on your list?

Sometimes — waterjet can cut nearly any material including stone, glass, composites, and titanium. Contact us with your material spec and we'll let you know if it's doable and what it'll cost.

What powder coat colors are available?

We stock 200+ RAL standard colors in gloss, matte, satin, and wrinkle finishes. Specify your RAL number when ordering. Custom color matching is available — contact us for details. See the Powder Coating page for popular colors and swatches.

Does powder coating add to the lead time?

Yes — powder coating adds 1–2 business days. Sandblasting (which we do before powder coating) is included and doesn't add extra time. Deburring adds 1 day. All add-ons are noted with their lead time impact at checkout.

Can I order parts without any finishing?

Absolutely. Raw (as-cut) parts ship with no finishing by default. You can add deburring, powder coating, sandblasting, or hardware insertion as optional add-ons at checkout.

Shipping & Lead Times
How fast can you turn parts around?

Standard lead time is 2–5 business days for laser cutting and waterjet. Bending adds 1–2 days. Finishing adds 1–2 days per operation. Welding and assemblies are quoted individually — typically 3–7 days.

Rush options may be available depending on current shop capacity. Contact us to discuss.

Where do you ship?

We ship anywhere in the continental United States. Alaska, Hawaii, and international shipping is available on request — contact us for a freight quote before ordering.

How are parts packaged?

Parts are wrapped individually in poly film and packed with foam or bubble wrap to prevent scratches and damage in transit. Finished (powder coated) parts receive extra care. Large or heavy parts ship on pallets via freight.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes — we're in Greenville, TX. Contact us to arrange pickup and we'll have your order ready to go. Pickup can sometimes be faster than shipping for rush jobs.

Account & Billing
Do I need an account to order?

Not yet — currently the quote and contact flow works without an account. We're building a full customer portal with order history, reorder, and tracking. That'll be available soon.

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) via Stripe. ACH bank transfer available for larger orders. Net-30 terms available for established business customers — contact us to apply.

What is your refund policy?

If we make an error — wrong material, wrong dimensions, poor cut quality — we'll recut and reship at no charge. If the issue is with your file (wrong dimensions, bad geometry), we'll do our best to work with you but can't guarantee a free recut.

Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we'll get it sorted.
